Zion National Park

Angel’s Landing

Angel’s Landing is one of the most iconic hikes in Zion. It’s a steep hike that takes you to a stunning viewpoint of the canyon. The hike is well known for the steep and exposed final section of the hike. This section has bolted chains for you to hold onto while making the final ascent.

The Subway

I was lucky to get a last-minute hiking permit for the famous hike The Subway. This hike can be done from the top-down (which requires rappelling gear and possibly some swimming) or from the bottom-up, which is less technical. I did the bottom-up route. The scenery seemed to become more and more beautiful as I went further into the canyon. The Subway is at the final section of the hike, which had a waterfall and some amazing emerald pools. I hope to return later to do the top-down route, which I hear is even more spectacular than the bottom-up route.
